I wonder what my noble son is doing over in Paris. Hath he learned a lesson yet? After my strong advice to him and set up Reynaldo to make rumors of him, I hope he is doing well. And Ophelia, my poor Ophelia. First, I tell her to stay away from ‘tis player Hamlet, and now I am letting her loose, like a dog, on to him. Pity her but not pity him. He shall not do anything to my daughter to hurt her for the time being. I will be watching thee every move. As crazy as he might be, for her ending their relationship, I shall not accept his mad behavior. I know I am a sneaky and controlling father over Laertes and now Ophelia. However, I am just protective and do not want my precious daughter getting hurt, and I want my son to listen and respect his father’s advice.
He is crazy for just one reason, well perhaps maybe two. His father died and he is grieving and now my mandatory ending to their once inappropriate relationship, has made lord Hamlet a mad man. I hath proof from his love letter to my dear daughter Ophelia. Thank the lord above that I got her out of this dishonorable situation with Hamlet, for she would have been hurt even worse by him. Altogether, Hamlet is a mad man and shall remain to stay away from my Ophelia.
